How much topamax for weight loss
I have been fighting Migraines for the last 6 years mostly caused from stress from work. I went of Topomax in November of 09 and within about 4 months I gained 30lbs. I do try to give all the info I can but sometimes my delivery is harsh due to my frustration. I heard the weightloss effect depends on the dose. I took Keppra for awhile, but had breakthrough seizures and when my dosage was increased, my hair started falling out. I was at a healthy weight on it with a good diet and exercise regime. When I read a post saying that someone tried bananas for the tingling and it worked - well, it just makes me stupidly happy. I too have complex partials, and I saw that it looks like the Top. Honestly, I feel that it is my duty to give out the information that I have. Cause I am always willing to try something new if it would help with my seizures. I did experience loss of concentration and the tingling. If I had been aware of this I may have switched meds awhile back. I am 42 years old and was diagnosed with TLE in March of 2004. But I wish the manufacture would just change the taste of the pill, its fast dissolve and strong peppermint taste.
I was even training with a personal trainer three times a week. My advice - if you are planning to go off- follow a nutrtion plan set out by a nutrisionist to avoid excessive gain:). :). When I was dx with Migraines I was taking a sub-lingual pill called Maxalt (this does work) you have to take one tablet and place it under your tongue as you feel a migraine coming on. I was reading all the negative things people were saying and trying to decide whether or not to go back on this med. may be helping you out. I had terrible headaches on this med, so started the Topamax this past January. Topamax was a blessing for my severe migraines. This way of thinking is counter productive and dangerous in some cases.
